Our Process
Lumber

Our process begins by selecting the best quality lumber. Uniform color is of the utmost importance in our selections. We use Northern Oak from Michigan, northern Pennsylvania, New York, and Canada. Our Hard Maple is from the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, while our Soft Maple is brought in from northern Pennsylvania. Hickory is shipped from New York, which offers a creamy stock with less mineral contrast. Our Cherry from Pennsylvania offers the best color available. The Yellow Birch comes from Canada. We also work with many other species including Beech, Mohogany, and Walnut. No matter what specie you choose, you can be assured it came from the best trees available.

Machinery

We take pride in using the best equipment available. Our ripping capabilities include Paul and Mereen-Johnson Straightliners. We have various ways of gluing- from cold clamps to radio frequency gluers. When molding, we utilize Weinig Powermat 1000, Weinig Profimat, and Wadkin machines.

When purchasing, we focus on quick, flexible equipment that utilize quick-change features. These features allow us to maintain a quick schedule while offering a great variety of options to choose from.

Hand Sanding

All cabinet grade doors are hand sanded. We strive to deliver our doors ready to finish- no additional sanding necessary- allowing our customers to eliminate a time-consuming step before applying finish. This process cannot be duplicated or equaled by a machine. Our "hands on" sanding approach to each door is a benefit which sets us apart from our competitors.

Shipping

We cannot make schedule guarantees due to the many variables which are our of our control. However, our in-house procedures allow us to give the customer an accurate idea of when they will receive their order. In addition to our fleet of delivery trucks, we use common carriers and UPS.
